Maryport Rescue is an Independent Lifeboat Rescue Service operating since 1978. Alongside the lifeboat, the service operates a Flood & Swiftwater Rescue & Search & Rescue team.
The service is operational 7 days a week, 365 days a year, covering the Solway Firth, local rivers and lakes. It is co-ordinated by Belfast Coastguard, Cumbria Police & Cumbria Fire & Rescue.
