Taste of the Sea Festival

Eat, drink and shop until you drop. Laugh, chatter, relax and watch the live music with your family and friends. Visit the businesses, talk to traders, watch the experts at work, or simply soak up the festival atmosphere. Supported with funding of £10,000 from Maryport Town Council, there will be plenty to experience at Taste Cumbria’s Taste of the Sea Festival in Maryport on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August 2022!

The Producers’ Market will be in Senhouse Street in the heart of the town, then there will be more to discover on the harbourside: Demonstrations, Entertainment, a Drinks Tent and Hot Food Court, as well as seaside activities like Crabbing and Rock-pooling. Local fishermen Chelaris Fresh Fish team will be down on the harbour with their fresh catch.

Nearby, there will be a Fairground, Face Painting and children’s fun next to the Wave Centre, and all around the town, other venues will be joining in.

The Fishy Street Theatre will be walking around the Festival throughout the weekend and there will be a Treasure Hunt around the local shops with a Samsung Galaxy tablet up for grabs as the top prize!

There are things to do in the evening too. Taste Cumbria’s ever-popular Comedy Night will take place on Saturday, and local pubs will be getting involved too with live music to keep the party atmosphere going.
