The Council is following guidelines provided by the Royal British Legion in making arrangements for Remembrance Sunday.
Restrictions on public gatherings are currently such that there will be no services or parades this year, although as the position is subject to rapid change, this is being kept under review. Wreaths will be made available from the Town Council for organisations & individuals who wish to lay them in their own time. In addition, the Council will be distributing VE75 Day Commemorative Mugs to Flimby & Maryport Schools’ pupils, in conjunction with work which schools are doing in this subject area.
