In association with Maryport Joint Schools’ Partnership, the Town Council is providing a Maryport Family Fun Day on Wednesday 1 August. It will take place on the green adjacent to Shiver Me Timbers & will feature entertainment devised by the school children of Maryport who represent their schools on the Joint Schools’ Council. The pupils have decided that they would like the event to include water-based games & so children attending should be prepared to get a little wet if they have a go with those amusements.
Commencing at 1.00pm & finishing at 4.00pm, it will be a day of fun, much of it FREE, featuring:
- Water Games
- Giant Jenga
- Penalty Shoot Out
- Nerf Gun Shoot Out Tent
- Fairground Rides
- Bouncy Castle & Slides
- Face Painting
- Glitter Tattoos
- Ice Cream
- Slush Puppies
- Candy Floss
- Hot Dogs for first 250 ticket collectors
Flyers encompassing Vouchers for Free Rides, etc, will be available from Maryport Town Council at the Town Hall, Senhouse Street, on Monday 30 & Tuesday 31 July, between 9.30 am & 12.00pm only. If not collected on those days, Vouchers can be purchased on the day of the event from the event site. Vouchers provide:
- Free Ice cream, Slush Puppy or Candy Floss
- Free Aqua Blaster
- Free Tea Cups or Roundabout Ride
- Free Nerf Gun Tent
- Free Bouncy Castle or Slide Ride
- Free Hot Dog for first 250 Tickets
