The Council hopes that residents appreciate the additional seating that has been placed around the town and the marina area, although some people may think one or two to be facing in the wrong direction!
Following a request for submissions of ideas by members of the public, the Council is arranging for plaques to be placed on two of the benches in the vicinity of the harbour, with the messages; ‘For the brave men of Maryport who fought in the two world wars’ & ‘For the brave men of Maryport who have lost their lives at sea’.
