The Town Council is working in partnership with Maryport Rescue to organise an event to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day. A Church Service will be arranged by the Reverand Bernard Noghiu, along with some traditional entertainment & displays from times gone by, which will take place on the weekend after the 8th May 2025, with a parade from the Harbourside to St Mary’s Church for the service. A raising of the flag will take place on 8th May 2025 at the harbourside on South Quay. Further details will follow through Council & Maryport Rescue social media sites.
