In 2021, the Town Council purchased five defibrillators and placed them in the following locations: Tesco Express; The Butchers Arms; Hillside Estate; The Settlement; & the B&M Store. Recently, the Council has adopted another three, two in Flimby and one sited at Grasslot Club The latter three were purchased & fitted through community fund raising some years ago. As the funding has run out, the Town Council will now be the guardians and pay for all future maintenance. The Town Council has also supported Maryport golf Club with funding to enable it to site a defibrillator on site.
