Maryport Memorial Gardens 2

Remembrance Day

The Town Council would like to give thanks to Mr Brian Mossam who, over the last fifteen years or so has organised the Maryport and area Poppy Appeal.

Brian is now enjoying a well-earned retirement and Councillor Carol Tindall is running the appeal, supported by the Town Council.

This year’s Remembrance Day Parade will take place on Sunday 13 November.

There will be a church service held at Flimby, (St Nicholas’ Church), at 10.00 am, followed by wreath laying at Flimby churchyard.

In the afternoon, the Remembrance Day Parade will commence in Fleming Square, assembling at 2.30pm, marching to St Mary’s Church, where a special service will be held, to be followed by a wreath laying ceremony at Maryport Memorial Gardens. All are welcome to attend the church services and view the march.
