The Maryporters Group organised arrangements for Maryport’s Cumbria in Bloom Entry in 2019, & Debbie Wright of Her Citi & her colleagues, ably guided by Allerdale Borough Council’s Toni Magean, deserve great credit for their contributions.
The special entries in Maryport in Bloom’s contribution included the Senhouse Roman Museum Mediterranean Garden, Maryport Harbour & Marina’ Natural Wildlife area, Ewanrigg Community Centre & Maryport Train Station, together with contributions provided by the Town Council, including the Alauna Aurora, Netherhall Corner Floral Ship & Lighthouse, as well as the flower beds, hanging baskets around the town centre, & floral baskets on Curzon Street & flower towers on Senhouse Street. The judges visited on a beautiful sunny day in early July & were very impressed with the town’s presentation. Results are due in early September!
